Partnerships in Organization & Community Change

Partner for Change fosters positive change and thriving through diverse partnerships with organizations, teams, and individuals. I love designing consulting engagements and interactive meetings that will unleash creativity and collaboration within your organization or community to address many topics, including:
  • Visioning, values identification, and strategy development
  • Collaborative and transparent leadership models
  • Effective board governance
  • Networks in organizational design and practice
  • Community empowerment for community change
  • Building a culture of philanthropy and giving
  • Bridging cultural divides
  • Alternative synagogue membership models

Trained in the Appreciative Inquiry methodology, I bring an appreciative orientation to the design of consulting partnerships, applying the philosophy and tools of the AI 4-D cycle and similar methodologies, including Design Thinking.

I also offer individual or packaged strategy sessions for organizational leaders and teams. Some people call this coaching, but I realized that my strong suit is not as a coach working from behind, but rather as someone who is actively at the table looking for solutions alongside my clients, thinking through different ideas, and proposing alternatives.

Fees

Depending on the nature of the partnership, fees may be structured hourly or by project. For nonprofit organizations, I can help guide applications for capacity-building grants that support the partnership. Prospective partners receive a free introductory meeting via phone or Skype, or in-person, followed by a written proposal detailing the scope of the partnership.

Resources for Synagogues

While engaged with UJA-Federation of New York's former SYNERGY department, I developed the following resources specifically for synagogues:
  • Connection, Cultivation, and Commitment: New Insights on Voluntary Dues with Rabbi Dan Judson, and supporting web tutorials
  • Transforming Jewish Congregations into Vibrant Networks, written for UJA-Federation of New York's Connected Congregations Initiative
  • Network Organizing: Rethinking Communal Leadership for Rabbis, with Lisa Colton, featured as part of the digital dialogue on Keeping Faith in Rabbis
  • Community Organizing Remix, a webinar presented for UJA-Federation of New York's Connected Congregations Initiative
